The Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali (ISI Bali) has initiated a strategic collaboration with the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region (DKI) of Jakarta in the fields of arts and culture. The exploration of this cooperation was discussed during an audience between the Rector of ISI Bali, Prof. Dr. Wayan “Kun” Adnyana, and the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Dr. Ir. Pramono Anung Wibowo, M.M., held at the Governor’s Reception Room, Jakarta City Hall, on Thursday (5/2).
The meeting was also attended by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Office of Culture, Mochamad Miftahulloh Tamary, S.STP., M.T., M.Sc., and the Head of the Regional Cooperation Bureau of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretariat, Marulina Dewi, S.STP., MPA. Representing ISI Bali were the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Komang Sudirga; the Chair of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Ketut Muka; the Protocol Officer, Made Irma Novita Sari, S.Sn.; and ISI Bali’s Public Relations Officer, Rara Tian Anyar Sari, S.S.
During the meeting, both parties discussed various potential forms of collaboration between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and art higher education institutions to support the strengthening of the cultural ecosystem. This cooperation is expected to encourage artistic development, cultural preservation, and increased public participation through sustainable collaborative programs.

On the occasion, the Rector of ISI Bali, Prof. Dr. Wayan “Kun” Adnyana, presented one of ISI Bali’s flagship programs, Bali Nata Bhuwana, as a national platform for the dissemination of arts and culture that has been implemented since 2022. The program has been held in various regions, including Kediri (East Java), Labuan Bajo (East Nusa Tenggara), Lampung, and Yogyakarta, and is planned to continue in Kendari in 2026.
According to the Rector, Bali Nata Bhuwana not only functions as a medium for disseminating artistic works and ideas, but also plays a role in strengthening the arts ecosystem by providing direct benefits to the community, particularly in terms of education, the creative economy, and the reinforcement of cultural identity.
The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Dr. Ir. Pramono Anung Wibowo, M.M., expressed his appreciation for the cooperation initiative proposed by ISI Bali. He emphasized that Jakarta, as a multicultural city, offers broad opportunities for the development of arts and culture from diverse backgrounds, making collaboration with art education institutions such as ISI Bali highly relevant and strategic.
This audience meeting marked an initial step toward building synergy between ISI Bali and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in creating an inclusive, dynamic, and impactful arts and cultural ecosystem for the wider community.

Penjajakan kerja sama tersebut dibahas dalam audiensi antara Rektor ISI BALI, Prof. Dr. Wayan “Kun” Adnyana, dengan Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Dr. Ir. Pramono Anung Wibowo, M.M., yang berlangsung di Ruang Tamu Gubernur, Balai Kota Jakarta, Kamis (5/2).
Audiensi ini turut dihadiri oleh Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan Provinsi DKI Jakarta, Mochamad Miftahulloh Tamary, S.STP, MT, M.Sc., serta Kepala Biro Kerja Sama Daerah Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi DKI Jakarta, Marulina Dewi, S.STP, MPA. Dari ISI BALI hadir Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Kerja Sama, Prof. Dr. Komang Sudirga; Ketua Senat, Prof. Dr. Ketut Muka; Protokol, Made Irma Novita Sari, S.Sn.; serta Humas ISI BALI, Rara Tian Anyar Sari, S.S.
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, kedua belah pihak membahas berbagai potensi kolaborasi antara Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta dan institusi pendidikan seni dalam rangka mendukung penguatan ekosistem kebudayaan. Kerja sama ini diharapkan mampu mendorong pengembangan seni, pelestarian budaya, serta peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat melalui program-program kolaboratif yang berkelanjutan.

Rektor ISI BALI, Prof. Dr. Wayan “Kun” Adnyana, pada kesempatan tersebut memaparkan salah satu program unggulan ISI BALI, yakni Bali Nata Bhuwana, sebagai wahana diseminasi nasional seni dan budaya yang telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2022. Program ini telah diselenggarakan di berbagai daerah, antara lain Kediri (Jawa Timur), Labuan Bajo (Nusa Tenggara Timur), Lampung, dan Yogyakarta, serta direncanakan akan berlanjut ke Kendari pada tahun 2026.
Menurut Rektor ISI BALI, Bali Nata Bhuwana tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media diseminasi karya dan gagasan seni, tetapi juga berperan dalam memperkuat ekosistem seni yang memberi manfaat langsung bagi masyarakat, baik dari sisi edukasi, ekonomi kreatif, maupun penguatan identitas budaya.
Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Dr. Ir. Pramono Anung Wibowo, M.M., menyampaikan apresiasi atas inisiatif kerja sama yang diusulkan ISI BALI. Ia menegaskan bahwa Jakarta sebagai kota multikultural memiliki ruang yang luas untuk pengembangan seni dan budaya dari berbagai latar belakang, sehingga kolaborasi dengan institusi pendidikan seni seperti ISI BALI dinilai sangat relevan dan strategis.
Audiensi ini menjadi langkah awal bagi terbangunnya sinergi antara ISI BALI dan Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta dalam menciptakan ekosistem seni dan budaya yang inklusif, dinamis, serta berdaya guna bagi masyarakat luas.

Institut Seni Indonesia Bali (ISI Bali) and Sampoerna University have formally established a partnership in the implementation of the tridharma of higher education, encompassing education, research, and community service. This collaboration was officially marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Rector of ISI Bali, Prof. Dr. Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana, and the Rector of Sampoerna University, Dr. Wahid Salasi April Yudhi, on Friday (6/2), at the Sampoerna University Meeting Room.
The MoU signing was witnessed by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation of ISI Bali, Prof. Dr. Komang Sudirga; the Chair of the ISI Bali Senate, Prof. Dr. Ketut Muka; as well as members of the leadership of Sampoerna University, including the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Eng. Farid Triawan; the Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program, Tombak Matahari, M.Ds.; and lecturers of the Visual Communication Design Study Program, namely Santo Tjhin, M.M., M.Ds., M.CHt, and Arlene Dwiasti Soemardi, M.Arts.

The Rector of ISI Bali, Prof. Dr. Wayan Adnyana, stated that this collaboration opens broad opportunities for partnership, particularly in the areas of education, research, and community engagement. Potential forms of cooperation include joint research initiatives, faculty exchange and guest lectures, collaborative academic activities, and curriculum development based on the respective strengths and excellence of each institution. In addition, Prof. Wayan Adnyana offered opportunities for Sampoerna University lecturers to pursue doctoral studies at ISI Bali, noting that ISI Bali currently offers a Doctoral Program (S3) in Design, which is the only program of its kind in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Sampoerna University, Dr. Wahid Salasi, warmly welcomed the establishment of this partnership. He emphasized that Sampoerna University, particularly through its Visual Communication Design (VCD) Study Program, views this collaboration as a strategic opportunity to strengthen elements of uniqueness and local wisdom in academic development and design practice, in line with the character and strengths consistently upheld by ISI Bali as an arts higher education institution.
On this occasion, the Rector of ISI Bali and the delegation also had the opportunity to visit several learning facilities at Sampoerna University, including design studios, computer laboratories, classrooms, the library, and other supporting academic facilities. This visit is expected to serve as an initial step toward realizing various forms of concrete collaboration between the two institutions in the future.

Kesepakatan ini ditandai dengan penandatanganan Nota Kesepahaman (Memorandum of Understanding/MoU) oleh Rektor ISI BALI, Prof. Dr. Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana, dan Rektor Sampoerna University, Dr. Wahid Salasi April Yudhi, Jumat (6/2), bertempat di Ruang Rapat Sampoerna University.
Penandatanganan MoU tersebut disaksikan oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Kerja Sama ISI BALI Prof. Dr. Komang Sudirga, Ketua Senat ISI BALI Prof. Dr. Ketut Muka, serta jajaran pimpinan Sampoerna University, antara lain Dekan Fakultas Engineering and Technology Dr. Eng. Farid Triawan, Ketua Program Studi Visual Communication Design Tombak Matahari, M.Ds., serta para dosen Program Studi Visual Communication Design, yakni Santo Tjhin, M.M., M.Ds., M.CHt, dan Arlene Dwiasti Soemardi, M.Arts.

Rektor ISI BALI, Prof. Dr. Wayan Adnyana, menyampaikan bahwa kerja sama ini membuka peluang kolaborasi yang luas, khususnya dalam bidang pengajaran, penelitian, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Bentuk kerja sama yang dapat dikembangkan antara lain penelitian bersama, pertukaran dan kehadiran dosen tamu, kolaborasi kegiatan akademik, hingga pengembangan kurikulum berbasis keunggulan masing-masing institusi. Selain itu, Prof. Wayan Adnyana juga menawarkan kesempatan bagi dosen Sampoerna University untuk melanjutkan studi doktoral di ISI BALI, mengingat ISI BALI memiliki Program Studi S3 Desain yang saat ini merupakan satu-satunya di Indonesia.
Sementara itu, Rektor Sampoerna University, Dr. Wahid Salasi, menyambut baik terjalinnya kerja sama ini. Ia menyampaikan bahwa Sampoerna University, khususnya melalui Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV), melihat kolaborasi ini sebagai kesempatan strategis untuk memperkuat unsur keunikan dan kearifan lokal dalam pengembangan akademik dan karya desain, sejalan dengan karakter dan kekuatan yang selama ini diteguhkan oleh ISI BALI sebagai perguruan tinggi seni. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Rektor ISI BALI beserta delegasi juga berkesempatan meninjau sejumlah fasilitas pembelajaran yang dimiliki Sampoerna University, seperti studio desain, laboratorium komputer, ruang kelas, perpustakaan, serta ruang-ruang pendukung kegiatan akademik lainnya. Kunjungan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal untuk merealisasikan berbagai bentuk kolaborasi konkret antara kedua institusi di masa mendatang.
