JATILUWIH, TABANAN, Program Studi Desain Produk, Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Bali, Ngamargiang Parikrama Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi ring Desa Jatiluwih, Kecamatan Penebel, Kabupaten Tabanan. Ayah-ayahan masyarakat puniki kemargiang mangda prasida ngewerdiang Sekaa Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) Tridatu Jatiluwih. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat puniki kamargiang antuk kolaborasi pantaraning dosen miwah mahasiswa. Dosen desain produk sane nyarengin inggih punika Made Gana Hartadi, Ni Wayan Sri Wahyuni, Genial Nabilaisyah Firdauzi, lan Ni Ketut Pande Sarjani.
Desain kemasan, pinaka pahan saking strategi merek Teh Beras Merah Jatiluwih, kalimbakang nganggen pendekatan desain berbasis kearifan lokal. Tim pelayanan masyarakat ngawantu mitra ring sajeroning merancang kemasan sane nenten wantah menarik secara visual kemanten nanging taler ngawakilin identitas budaya Jatiluwih. Identitas budaya sane kasobyahang, utamanyane, sistem Subak miwah lanskap sawah terasering, sane sampun kaakui olih UNESCO pinaka Warisan Budaya Tan Berwujud. Desain kemasan punika ngintegrasiang elemen visual sakadi gunung, sawah berterasering, lan aktivitas matekap, sane kaadungang sareng palet warna alami lan informasi produk sane komprehensif.
Malarapan antuk parikrama diseminasi sane kamargiang ring rahina Redite, 19 Oktober 2025, ring Monumen UNESCO Jatiluwih, wisatawan internasional nyawis becik parikrama punika. Akeh para pengunjung maosang, kemasan teh beras merah sane anyar puniki karasayang sayan asli, madue arti, lan patut dados oleh-oleh, nyihnayang keunikan Jatiluwih. Tetujon punika puniki kawastanin Desa Pariwisata Terbaik 2024 olih UN Tourism.
Tiosan ring desain kemasan, tim taler ngicenin pelatihan indik kemasan higienis, produksi kantong kertas ramah lingkungan, miwah strategi promosi digital majeng ring anggota UMKM Tridatu. Pangaptinyane produk puniki prasida dados ikon ekonomi kreatif sane lestari, ngukuhang posisi Jatiluwih pinaka tatujon pariwisata sane madasar antuk budaya lan kelestarian. Kolaborasi pantaraning perguruan tinggi miwah krama lokal puniki kaaptiang prasida nyihnayang peran ISI Bali sajeroning nukung pelestarian tetamian budaya miwah ngawerdiang ekonomi krama malarapan antuk desain sane mawit saking nilai-nilai lokal.
Denpasar, October 10, 2025 — The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar (ISI Denpasar) organized a Seminar and Workshop entitled “Processing Organic Waste into Eco-Enzymes” on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Design Hub Building, ISI Bali. The event featured Ni Wayan Yuli Ekayani, an Eco-Enzyme Volunteer, as the main speaker.
The event was attended by 125 participants, consisting of members of DWP, lecturers, students, and administrative staff of ISI Bali. Through this activity, DWP ISI Denpasar aims to raise awareness among the academic community about environmentally friendly organic waste management while providing practical skills in transforming household waste into useful products.
In her opening remarks, the Chairperson of DWP ISI Denpasar emphasized that the activity reflects DWP’s commitment to supporting a green and sustainable campus initiative. “We aim to instill awareness that every individual plays an important role in protecting the environment. Through this Eco-Enzyme training, we hope to inspire real changes in waste management behavior both on campus and at home,” she stated.
In her presentation, Ni Wayan Yuli Ekayani explained that Eco-Enzyme is a natural liquid produced through the fermentation of organic waste such as fruit and vegetable peels with brown sugar and water. This liquid can be utilized for various purposes, including as a natural cleaner, liquid fertilizer, and waste decomposer.
The activity continued with a hands-on practice session held at Teba Modern, ISI Bali’s organic waste management facility. During this session, participants learned to make Eco-Enzymes using simple household kitchen waste. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident through the numerous questions and their active engagement throughout the seminar and workshop.
Through this activity, it is hoped that DWP ISI Denpasar will become a pioneer in promoting organic waste management within the campus environment and inspire the broader community to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.
JATILUWIH, TABANAN – The Product Design Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar (ISI Bali), carried out a Tri Dharma of Higher Education activity in Jatiluwih Village, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency. This community service program was conducted to empower the Tridatu Jatiluwih Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Group, focusing on branding development and packaging design for red rice tea — a specialty product made from Cendana red rice, a unique variety found exclusively in Jatiluwih.
“We aim for red rice tea to be recognized not only as a healthy beverage but also as a cultural ambassador of Subak,” said Ni Luh Desi In Diana Sari, the project leader of this community service activity.
The program was implemented through collaboration between lecturers and students of the Product Design Study Program. The participating lecturers included Made Gana Hartadi, Ni Wayan Sri Wahyuni, Genial Nabilaisyah Firdauzi, and Ni Ketut Pande Sarjani.
Exhibition of Red Rice Tea Packaging Products by Tridatu Jatiluwih SME
The packaging design for Jatiluwih Red Rice Tea was developed using a local wisdom–based design approach. The community service team assisted the partner in creating packaging that is not only visually appealing but also reflects the cultural identity of Jatiluwih. The design emphasizes cultural elements such as the Subak irrigation system and the terraced rice field landscape, both recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The packaging integrates visual elements including mountains, the contour of tiered rice terraces, and traditional matekap (traditional plowing field) activities, combined with a natural color palette and comprehensive product information.

Through a dissemination activity held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the UNESCO Monument in Jatiluwih, international tourists gave highly positive responses to the event. Many visitors expressed that the new packaging design of Jatiluwih Red Rice Tea felt more authentic, meaningful, and worthy as a distinctive local souvenir that truly reflects the uniqueness of Jatiluwih — a destination recently awarded Best Tourism Village 2024 by UN Tourism.

In addition to packaging design, the team also provided training on hygienic packaging techniques, eco-friendly paper bag production, and digital promotion strategies for members of the Tridatu SME. It is hoped that this product will become a sustainable creative economy icon, strengthening Jatiluwih’s position as a culture- and sustainability-based tourism destination.
This form of collaboration between the university and the local community reflects ISI Bali’s concrete role in supporting cultural heritage preservation while simultaneously promoting community economic empowerment through design rooted in local values.

Denpasar, 10 Oktober 2025 — Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Denpasar menyelenggarakan Seminar dan Workshop bertajuk “Pengolahan Sampah Organik menjadi Eco Enzym” pada Jumat, 10 Oktober 2025, bertempat di Gedung Desain Hub ISI Bali. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan Ni Wayan Yuli Ekayani, seorang Volunteer Eco Enzym, sebagai narasumber utama.
Acara diikuti oleh 125 peserta yang terdiri dari unsur anggota DWP, dosen, mahasiswa, serta tenaga kependidikan ISI Bali. Melalui kegiatan ini, DWP ISI Denpasar berupaya meningkatkan kesadaran sivitas akademika terhadap pengelolaan sampah organik yang ramah lingkungan sekaligus memberikan keterampilan praktis dalam mengolah limbah rumah tangga menjadi produk bermanfaat.
Dalam sambutannya, Ketua DWP ISI Denpasar menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari komitmen DWP untuk mendukung program kampus hijau dan berkelanjutan. “Kami ingin menanamkan kesadaran bahwa setiap individu memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga lingkungan. Melalui pelatihan pembuatan Eco Enzym, kami berharap muncul perubahan nyata dalam perilaku pengelolaan sampah di lingkungan kampus maupun rumah tangga,” ujarnya.

Cairan ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk berbagai keperluan, antara lain sebagai pembersih alami, pupuk cair, dan pengurai limbah.
Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan sesi praktik langsung, yang dilaksanakan di Teba Modern yang dikelola oleh ISI Bali sebagai tempat pengelolaan sampah organik. Dalam kegiatan ini, peserta diajak membuat Eco Enzym menggunakan bahan-bahan sederhana dari sisa dapur. Antusiasme peserta terlihat dari banyaknya pertanyaan serta partisipasi aktif selama sesi seminar dan workshop berlangsung. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan DWP ISI Denpasar dapat menjadi pelopor dalam gerakan pengelolaan sampah organik di lingkungan kampus serta menginspirasi masyarakat luas untuk menerapkan gaya hidup berkelanjutan
