The international CONFERENCE of Global Arts Creativity, Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Denpasar presented 12 reputable figures, ranging from global scholars, renowned artists, influential researchers, to professionals with integrity from both government and independent institutions. The conference lasted for three days and was opened on Tuesday (28/9/2021) by the Chancellor of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. Wayan “Kun” Adnyana. Acting as a keynote speaker: Chairman of the Indonesian Consultative Assembly (MPR), Bambang Soesatyo. S.E., M.B.A. The international conference for the series of Bali Padma Bhuwana I Festivals in 2021 with the theme “Prospective, Environment, and New Paradigm”. This conference also received papers from various participants in the academic area.

This international conference also involves an international reviewer, Prof. Dr. Adrian Vickers (University of Sydney, Australia), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Dibia (ISI Denpasar), Prof. Dr. M. Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo in his paper stated that Indonesia is a big country that has a wealth of cultural arts. “It is important to hold cultural literacy to arouse the interest of the younger generation to explore, study, and appreciate the nation’s culture, as part of realizing the nation’s cultural resilience. Art and culture will always offer opportunities in various sectors of life. Appreciation is given to ISI Denpasar for its important role in producing quality human resources in the fields of arts and culture,” he said.
The Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Kun Adnyana explained that ISI Denpasar with the new motto Global-Bali Arts and Creativity Center Hub (G-BACCH) builds a space for sustainable interdisciplinary dialogue, across nations, cultural plurality, and multiplicity of innovations in the format of the Global Arts Creativity international conference in the Bali-Bhuwana Waskita forum. “Understanding the global COVID-19 pandemic, this international conference is designed to strengthen solidarity among international scholars, professional figures, artists, and researchers, to share perspectives, build innovative ideas, values, and new findings,” he explained.
“We are facing the same situation, equal fear, and an unexpected challenge called the global COVID-19 pandemic. The world is experiencing shocks, human creativity is tested to simultaneously adapt and coexist with the pandemic to create innovations. The Bali-Bhuwana Waskita Forum brings together ideas and innovation pendulums from various nations,” said the Professor of Art History at ISI Denpasar.

The 26th convocation of Graduate and Postgraduate of the Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Denpasar took place in a special way, Monday (6/9). Gede Rai Remawa explained, there were 325 graduate participants, consisting of; 176 Bachelors and Applied Bachelors from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design with commendable honors 143 graduates; 110 Bachelor of Performing Arts Faculty with 86 commendable honors; 39 Masters of Arts with 33 graduates with commendable honors. “The best graduate of the undergraduate program was achieved by Ni Putu Ayu Aneska Rastini Dewi with a 3.99 GPA. Best applied undergraduate program: Lady Athalia and Ni Komang Diah Sri Dewi Klenting Sari with a GPA of 3.95. The best for the master program: Ni Kadek Dwi Pratika Dewi, I Nyoman Agus Hari Sudama Giri, and Ni Putu Irma Maha Sasmita with a 4.00 GPA,” explained the former Head of the Design Masters Study Program.

The Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Anwar Makarim inaugurated Prof. Dr. Wayan ”Kun” Adnyana becomes the Rector of Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Denpasar for the period of 2021-2025, Monday (22/3/2021) at Plaza Insan Prestasi, Ki Hadjar Dewantara Building, Ministry of Education and Culture, Jakarta. Nadiem the Minister of Education and Culture hopes that the newly inaugurated Rector will immediately get down to work and create a superior university with the policy of “Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka” (Independent Learning-Independent Campus). This excellence includes improving human resources (HR) and global competitiveness.

The Rector of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar Prof. Dr. I Wayan “Kun” Adnyana with the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Bali Jamaruli Manihuruk signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to the protection and use of intellectual property. “Furthermore, this MoU will be used as the basis for making a cooperation agreement in the establishment of an intellectual property center service unit,” said Head of the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office Jamaruli Manihuruk in Denpasar, Tuesday. The signing of the MoU has been held in between during the promotion and dissemination activities of patent intellectual property in the province of Bali, entitled “Patents and Their Commercial”. Currently, 13 intellectual property center service units have been formed with secretariats in regional apparatus organizations (OPD), state and private universities in all regencies/cities in Bali Province. “We are grateful that ISI Denpasar has participated in the establishment of intellectual property centers, to capture and protect intellectual property, especially in the area of Bali Province, which is efficient and has high economic value,” he said. He hopes that the Bali province creators could register so that their works are protected and it will not be claimed by others. “We believe that students who are members of each campus have high abilities in producing works with intellectual property potential,” he said. Hundreds of ready-to-wear clothes were symbolically handed over by the Rector ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Kun Adnyana to Yosep Yulius Diaz as the General Chair of Flobamora Bali at the Rectorated Building of ISI Denpasar on Wednesday, 19th of May, 2021. At this moment, the Rector accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic, Students, and Alumni Affairs, Dr. A.A Rai Remawa, the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. I Ketut Muka, M.Si, the Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. I Komang Sudirga.
Humanitarian activity carried out by ISI Denpasar students is a pilot project for the free learning humanitarian program in accordance with the implementation of the slogan full of meaning for the 2021 National education system, “Simultaneously move to create Independent Learning ”. “ISI Denpasar chose Humanitarian activities program as one from eight choice of Independent Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM)” said the Rector, Prof. Wayan Kun Adnyana.

The head of Fashion Design study program, Dr. Tjok Istri Ratna C.S., S.Sn.,M.Si, said that the fundraising event entitled “Jelujur Asa” is a movement that connects the fighting spirit of our people in Indonesia. “This activity was initiated by HMJ Fashion Design Study Program ISI Denpasar that is carried out in three different locations”, Tjok Istri Ratna said.
The activity began on 10th of May, 2021 by collection thousands of wearable clothes from the entire ISI Denpasar academic community, followed by the handing over of clothing donations to three places (1) to residents of the Panti Dharma Jati II Denpasar, (2) to workers at the Suwung final dumpsite (TPA), (3) to disaster victim in NTT. “We hope that through this humanitarian activity, ISI Denpasar can optimize the implementation of MBKM policy and participate in realizing the vision of the Ministry of Education and Research and Technology (Kemendikbud-Ristek)- to generate Students that understand Pancasila to be able to achieve Advanced Indonesia ”, she said.
Yosep Yulius Dias as the leader of Flobamora Bali expressed his gratitude for the concern for the residents of NTT who were victims of the flood. “In NTT there are 14 districts and 1 city affected by the disaster. A breakthrough in accommodating and appreciating the creations of lecturers, students, and artists, the ISI Denpasar launched the Intellectual Property Center (KI) “Kerthi Widya Mahardika”. This launch is together with the declarations of an integrity zone towards a Corruption-Free Area (ZI-WBK) and the inauguration of the Student Executive Board (BEM) ISI Denpasar, Thursday (24/06/2021), at the Record Media Studio, under Film and Television Study Program. The purpose of the KI is to facilitate the outcome from research/creation/community service in the form of copyrights and simple patents for the lecturers in a competitive manner.
The Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. I Wayan Kun Adnyana, explained that the lecturers and students of ISI Denpasar have outstanding creativity, innovation, and productivity in creating an artwork, however, they rarely registered the result of the intellectual property. Whereas through the registration of the Intellectual property, the artwork automatically will receive legal protection, and have the opportunity to be monetized. “To ensure and appreciate the works of lecturers, students, artists, we formed a partnership with the Regional Office of Ministry of Law and Human Rights (KumHam) Bali in building an intellectual property center. In addition, we facilitate the registration of KI results of research/creation/community service by lecturers. We are targeting to register at least 250 copyright certificate recipients in a year ” as mentioned by the former Head of the Bali Provincial Culture Service.
The center of intellectual property (KI) at ISI Denpasar is organized by the Unit for Research, Community Service, and Educational Development (LP2MPP). The head of the LP2MPP ISI Denpasar, Dr. Ni Made Arshiniwati, SST.,M.Si explained that the launching of KI center “Kerthi Widya Mahardika” coincide with the full moon sadha and diversion of the copyright holder of the musical composition entitled “Cinta Kasih Abadi di Bali” (eternal love in Bali) by Prof. Wayan Kun Adnyana (lyrics), I Komang Darmayuda, M.Si (song), Ketut Sumerjana (composer) to ISI Denpasar. “This musical composition is the theme song for the Bali legend television film “Jaya Pangus” which was broadcast by BaliTV. On the same day with the launch of KI central, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design launched the declaration of the Integrity Zone (ZI) towards the Corruption Free Area (WBK) of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) ISI Denpasar. This event is in a combined offline and online format, was attended by Inspector IV of the Inspectorate General of Kemdikbudristek Mashyur Latief and Inspector Iswara, along with the Rector of ISI Denpasar, Vice Rectors, Dean of FSRD, and academic members of ISI Denpasar. “The declaration of the Integrity Zone is the sixth stage of the FSRD-ISI Denpasar to be able to become one of the representatives of working units in the Kemdikbudristek to compete for ZI-WBK” said the Dean of FSRD-ISI Denpasar, Dr. Anak Agung Gde Bagus Udayana.
