The Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali (ISI BALI) held the 5th Bali Padma Bhuwana International Festival, carrying the theme “Cancala Bhuwana Candika” (Glory Cosmic Godly). The festival was officially inaugurated by the Governor of Bali, Dr. Ir. I Wayan Koster, M.M., on Wednesday
(August 27th ) at the Kirtya Sabha Mahottama Ballroom, ISI Bali.
In conjunction with the International Festival, ISI Bali also presented the Bali-Bhuwana Nata Kerthi Nugraha Award 2025 to five distinguished figures for their outstanding contributions to the arts and culture. The awardees are:
Pino Confessa, cultural expert;
Janet DeNeefe, patron of the arts and founder of the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival;
Dr. Drs. Anak Agung Gede Rai Remawa, M.Sn, interior and architectural designer;
Prof. Dr. Drs. I Ketut Muka, M.Si, ceramic craft artist; and
Dr. I Ketut Suteja, SST., M.Sn, Balinese dance artist.

In his opening remarks, Rector of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali (ISI BALI), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Adnyana, S.Sn., M.Sn.., emphasized that the festival represents ISI Bali’s tangible commitment to realizing its vision as an impactful campus.
“Through this festival, ISI Bali seeks to demonstrate that art, design, and culture are not merely academic outputs, but also sources of social and cultural transformation relevant to the challenges of our times,” said Prof. Adnyana.
Meanwhile, Governor of Bali, Dr. Ir. I Wayan Koster, M.M., expressed his deep appreciation for the festival’s organization. According to him, the 5th Bali Padma Bhuwana International Festival holds a strategic role in strengthening Bali’s cultural and artistic ecosystem while expanding international recognition and appreciation.
“The dissemination platform provided by the Bali Padma Bhuwana International Festival is highly strategic, relevant, and essential. Each year, its chosen theme aligns harmoniously with the cultural events organized by the Bali Provincial Government. Through this festival, ISI Bali reaffirms its position as a creative, innovative, and responsive higher education institution attuned to global developments in art and design appreciation,” the Governor asserted.
Governor Koster further noted that the festival’s theme, “Cancala Bhuwana Candika” (Glory Cosmic Godly), aligns closely with Bali’s developmental vision, “Nangun Sad Kerthi Loka Bali,” derived from the Holistic Planned Development Framework for the New Era of Bali.
“This theme resonates with our mission to strengthen and advance local customs, traditions, arts, culture, and wisdom—particularly in embodying the values of Segara Kerthi. The achievements showcased in this festival—whether in creative works, scholarship, or authentic artistic and design practices—are expected to be further presented in the province’s cultural platforms such as the Bali Language Month, Bali Arts Festival, and Bali Jani Arts Festival,” he added.
To mark the opening of the Bali Padma Bhuwana V, ISI Bali presented the grand performance “Bali-Bhuwana Bakti,” a magnificent choreographic work celebrating sacred literature and the noble spirit of Nuswantara civilization. The performance, titled “Cala Cipta Chandi Cipta Cala,” featured choreography by Tjokorda Istri Putra Padmini, M.Sn., Dr. I Ketut Suteja, and Ni Komang Sri Wahyuni, M.Sn., with gamelan compositions by Dr. I Ketut Garwa and Dr. Nyoman Kariasa.
This performance also served as the opening act of the International Chandi Summit, which will take place in Bali from September 2–5, 2025.

The Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Bali held a flag ceremony to commemorate Pancasila Sanctity Day on Wednesday (October 1) at the Widya Mahardika Courtyard, ISI Bali Campus.
The ceremony was solemnly attended by lecturers, academic staff, and students of ISI Bali. All ceremony officers were students from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD), while Rector of ISI Bali, Prof. Dr. Wayan “Kun” Adnyana, served as the ceremony inspector.
As part of the event, ISI Bali also presented the Satya Lencana Karya Satya 10-Year Award to two academic staff members — Ida Bagus Gede Wahyu Antara Dalem, S.Kom., M.Kom. and Anak Agung Putri Ariyanti, S.E., M.M. — in recognition of their dedication and service in advancing ISI Bali’s academic excellence and institutional development.The ceremony proceeded in a solemn and orderly manner. Through this commemoration, the entire ISI Bali academic community is expected to further embody the values of Pancasila as a moral and ethical foundation in academic life, artistic creation, and community service. Alongside with the closing of the 2025 Merdeka Learning Curriculum Internship Program (MBKM), the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali (ISI BALI) visited the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Warsaw, Poland, on Wednesday, September 17.
The visit was warmly received with deep appreciation by the officials of the Indonesian Embassy in Poland for ISI BALI’s contributions in introducing and promoting the diversity of Indonesian culture, particularly Balinese art, to the European community.
The cultural diplomacy carried out by ISI BALI is expected to further attract tourists to visit Indonesia and to gain a closer understanding of the rich traditions of the Indonesian archipelago.
Over the past three months, a total of 18 students and 2 lecturers from ISI Bali have actively presented Balinese performing arts and conducted interactive workshops at Bali Indah Cultural Park. This program is a continuation of the strategic collaboration between ISI BALI and Dolina Charlotty Resort & Spa, which has been established since 2023, and forms part of the efforts to strengthen the internationalization of the largest arts campus in Bali.
The Bali Indah Cultural Park complex now features the largest Balinese temple (pura) in Europe, complete with a 16-meter-high padmasana, a traditional Balinese house, wantilan (community hall), exhibition rooms, ogoh-ogoh (ceremonial effigies), and various other cultural facilities designed by ISI Bali lecturers and constructed together with 100 workers from Bali since 2022. The Rector of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali (ISI Bali), Prof. Dr. Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana, inaugurated 34 structural officials on Tuesday (August 19th ) at the Kirtya Sabha Mahottama Room, 3rd Floor of the Citta Kelangen Building, ISI Bali. This inauguration is a follow-up to the issuance of Ministerial Regulation of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Permendiktisaintek) Number 28 of 2025 concerning the Organization and Governance (OTK) of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali.
This change marks an adjustment to the organizational structure following the official change in nomenclature from ISI Denpasar to ISI Bali. With the introduction of the new regulation, several structural positions have been realigned and refilled to strengthen institutional governance.

Several new positions have been introduced within the institutional structure of ISI Bali. For the first time, ISI Bali has appointed a Director of Postgraduate Studies, a position held by Nyoman Dewi Pebryani, ST., MA., Ph.D., and a Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies, held by Dr. Ni Wayan Ardini, S.Sn., M.Si. In addition, a Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute has been established, with Dr. I Wayan Setem, S.Sn., M.Sn. as Chair, and Dr. I Gede Mawan, S.Sn., M.Si. as Secretary.
In his speech, the Rector of ISI Bali, Prof. Dr. Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana, emphasized that this organizational transformation marks a significant moment to enhance governance, strengthen institutional synergy, and support ISI Bali toward becoming a center of excellence in arts and creativity with global competitiveness.
“This transformation should be seen as a progressive step in building a more adaptive, professional, and visionary system. Let us collectively commit to advancing ISI Bali further,” stated Prof. Kun Adnyana.
The inauguration was attended by university leadership, faculty members, and administrative staff of ISI Bali. With this new organizational structure, ISI Bali reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its role as an innovative and competitive institution of arts education. (ISIBALI/PR)

Institut Seni Indonesia Bali (ISI BALI) menyelenggarakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Program Revitalisasi Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PR-PTN) Pengelolaan Bisnis dan Keuangan bertajuk “Natya-Bhuwana-Nagata (Mulia Masa Depan Dunia)”, Selasa (7/10) di Ruang Sabha Citta Mahottama, Gedung Desain Hub ISI BALI.
Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari PR-PTN Tahun 2025 yang bertujuan untuk memperkuat tata kelola bisnis dan keuangan perguruan tinggi sebagai langkah menuju status Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Hukum (PTN BH). Dalam program ini, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi sebagai universitas pendamping bagi ISI BALI.

Hadir sebagai narasumber utama dari Unesa yaitu Prof. Dr. Hariyati, Ak., M.Si., CA. selaku Direktur Keuangan dan Aset, serta Dr. Stugeng Harianto, M.Si. selaku Direktur Perencanaan, Pengembangan, dan Pelaporan. Keduanya memaparkan pengalaman Unesa dalam membangun sistem pengelolaan keuangan dan bisnis yang terintegrasi, mulai dari penyusunan business plan PTN BH, pengembangan unit usaha universitas, hingga penyusunan pedoman keuangan, akuntansi, perpajakan, dan remunerasi.
FGD dibuka oleh Rektor ISI BALI Prof. Dr. I Wayan Adnyana, yang menegaskan pentingnya sinergi dengan universitas pendamping untuk mempercepat kesiapan ISI BALI dalam proses transformasi kelembagaan. “Melalui pendampingan Unesa, kami memperoleh banyak pembelajaran tentang pengelolaan keuangan, aset, dan unit usaha PTN BH. FGD ini menjadi langkah penting untuk menyiapkan sistem dan budaya kerja yang efisien, transparan, dan berorientasi pada kemandirian institusi,” ujar Prof. Adnyana.
Selain kedua narasumber utama, kegiatan ini juga dihadiri oleh tim dari Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) yang terdiri atas Mahendra Wardhana, S.H., M.Kn. (Kepala Badan Pengelola Usaha), Hibowo, S.Kom. (Kasubdit Perbendaharaan), Eko Wahyudi, S.Pd., M.H. (Kasubdit Akuntansi dan Perpajakan), Dr. Eko Wahyudi, M.Si. (Kasubdit Data Kinerja dan Remunerasi), Dr. Hijin Fitroni, S.Or., M.Pd. (Wakil Kepala Bidang Bisnis), Kolektus Oky Ristanto, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Wakil Kepala Bidang Asrama dan Aset), Achmad Kautsar, S.E., M.M. (Kepala Divisi Pengelola Usaha), Masita Nur Hayati, S.Pd. (Kasi Data, Evaluasi, dan Pelaporan), serta Hafid Kholidi Hadi, S.E., M.SM. (Kasi Pengembangan Organisasi dan Kelembagaan). Dalam diskusi, para narasumber membahas dua aspek penting yang menjadi fokus PR-PTN ISI BALI, yakni perencanaan bisnis PTN BH dan pengelolaan keuangan secara menyeluruh. Pembahasan mencakup penyusunan rencana bisnis jangka panjang yang berorientasi pada kemandirian institusi, strategi optimalisasi unit usaha, hingga pembentukan sistem keuangan yang akuntabel melalui penguatan pedoman perbendaharaan, akuntansi, perpajakan, dan sistem remunerasi.
