Dissertation Research

The Doctoral Dissertation Research Scheme (PDD) is an internal funding program organized by the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Bali. It aims to strategically strengthen academic quality and the output of doctoral programs within the institution.

  1. Main Objectives

The primary objectives of the PDD scheme focus on enhancing the quality of human resources and doctoral program outputs:

    • Improving Graduate Quality: Ensuring that doctoral research meets high academic standards, is relevant, and contributes to the advancement of knowledge.
    • Timely Completion: Supporting doctoral candidates in completing their studies within the designated time frame while achieving optimal academic results.
  1. Target Participants

The main participants of this funding scheme are Civil Servants (ASN) within ISI Bali, including both lecturers and educational staff currently pursuing doctoral (S-3) studies.

  1. Foundations and Standards

PDD research must adhere to strict national and institutional standards, including:

    • National Higher Education Standards (SN Dikti): Complying with all research standards stipulated in the Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 3 of 2020 (covering content, process, assessment, and funding).
    • Institutional Regulations: Based on ISI Denpasar Rector’s Regulation No. 1 of 2021, which specifically governs the expected outputs of the PDD scheme.
  1. Required Outputs

A major emphasis of the PDD scheme is on impactful and well-disseminated research outputs. The mandatory outcomes include:

    • Publication in Reputable International Journals: Dissemination of research findings through internationally recognized journals.
    • Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): Registration of patents or other forms of intellectual property derived from the dissertation.
    • National Book Publication: Publication of research results as a nationally recognized book.

Through the PDD scheme, ISI Bali seeks not only to produce doctoral graduates but also to promote tangible contributions in the form of inventions, innovations, and publications that enhance national competitiveness.
