FACULTY OF
PERFORMING ARTS
The Faculty of Performing Arts was officially established in 2003 at the same time as the establishment of the Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Denpasar which was a merger between the Indonesian College of Arts (STSI) Denpasar and the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRRD) Udayana University. Currently, the Faculty of Performing Arts manages 5 (five) study programs/departments, namely: Dance Study Program, Musical Arts Study Program, Puppetry Arts Study Program, Performing Arts Education Study Program and Music Study Program. Based on the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) four study programs received accreditation grades of A, namely the Dance Study Program, the Karaewitan Arts Study Program, the Study Program for the Art of Puppetry and the Study Program for Performing Arts Education. One study program received a GOOD accreditation score, namely the Music Study Program.
The Faculty of Performing Arts has 93 lecturers or teaching staff, 3 professors, 26 people with doctoral degrees and the rest with master’s degrees and 12 educational staff. Acceptance of new students ranges from 150-200 people per year with an average length of study of 4 years. The selection of new student admissions is carried out through three channels, namely SNMPTN, SBMPTN and independent pathways.

STUDY PROGRAM
Dance Study Program
Amid the rapid advancement of science and technology, the Dance Study Program wholeheartedly strives to enhance the quality of its resources as a foundation for creativity in the creation and presentation of dance works.
Karawitan Study Program
Graduates of the Karawitan Study Program also possess additional competencies as mentors and entrepreneurs. As mentors, they serve as instructors, educators, and trainers in the field of karawitan.
Puppetry Study Program
As one of the Balinese art forms that has flourished within the community, the art of puppetry (pedalangan) is closely associated with religious ritual functions, while also serving as an aesthetic medium for the society.
Music Study Program
The Music Study Program offers not only mastery of musical competencies but also expertise in multimedia, computer technology, and digital innovation, in accordance with the demands of the professional workforce.
Theatre Study Program
To produce theatre graduates who possess appropriate attitudes, knowledge, general and specialized skills, and who are independently capable of developing their competencies to actively contribute to solving societal problems.
Digital Business Study Program
The Digital Business Study Program at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar equips students not only with professional skills but also with cultural sensitivity, humanistic business ethics, and a visionary spirit of leadership.
