Abstrac
Sentilan Sentilun (SS) Comedy is a satirical comedy that has been broadcast every Monday on Metro TV television channel starting at 22.00 WIB until finished. The SS program was hosted by two experienced actors who played the main character, namely Slamet Raharjo as “Ndoro Sentilan” and Butet Kertaradjasa as “Sentilun” (assistant to Ndoro Sentilan). Apart from being guided by the two actors, this event also presented speakers related to the play or topic being played. SS comedy is an interesting program, because it always discusses issues or phenomena currently hitting this country. These issues or phenomena can come from the political, criminal, economic, socio-cultural, and criminal stages. In this paper, he explains about the placement of SS comedy as an art (read: works of art) according to art theory from several philosophers’ views. Second, discussing the existence of SS comedy as an art of political criticism. Third, analysis of critical language in SS comedy shows.
