Study Program
DESCRIPTION
The Dance Study Program is one of the oldest programs at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Bali. Established in 1967 during the era of ASTI Bali (Akademi Seni Tari Indonesia), this program has played a foundational role in shaping the development of performing arts education in Indonesia. Today, the Dance Study Program operates under the Faculty of Performing Arts and has achieved an “A” accreditation based on Decree No. 5248/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/VIII/2022 issued by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
Implementing the ISI Bali Impact Curriculum, the program offers a total of 144 credits (SKS) designed to be completed within a minimum of 3.5 years. Students are guided by experienced lecturers with Master’s, Doctoral, and Professor-level qualifications, and gain valuable learning experiences through collaborations with professional practitioners and industry partners.
The program accepts new students through the SNBP, SNBT, and Independent Selection pathways. In line with the principles of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Education, Research, and Community Service), the Dance Study Program actively engages in artistic, academic, and cultural initiatives at local, national, and international levels.
With its strong commitment to academic excellence and artistic creativity, the Dance Study Program at ISI Bali continues to attract aspiring students seeking to pursue professional careers in the world of performing arts.

The vision of the Dance Study Program is to become a center of excellence in dance education, focusing on research and creation in the art of dance that is rooted in local wisdom and oriented toward a universal perspective.
