description
The Visual Communication Design (DKV) Study Program at ISI Bali, under the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, is committed to shaping graduates with outstanding creative and technical abilities in designing captivating and innovative visual communication. This program integrates elements of art, design, and technology to produce highly communicative and competitive visual works within the creative industry.
Graduates of the DKV program at ISI Bali will be equipped with in-depth knowledge of design principles, typography, illustration, photography, animation, as well as mastery of the latest design software. In addition, students are trained to understand market needs, target audiences, and global design trends, while still upholding the local Balinese cultural values that serve as a core strength.
Throughout their studies, students will be involved in various challenging design projects, ranging from branding, graphic design, advertising, to digital media. Through hands-on practice and case studies directly related to the industry, they will learn to develop creative ideas into visual works that communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
With a focus on the development of creativity, innovation, and technical skills, the DKV Study Program at ISI Bali prepares students for careers in design, media, advertising, publishing, as well as becoming entrepreneurs in the field of visual communication design.

- To develop collaborations with institutions in related fields that can benefit from the expertise of visual communication design alumni, as an effective step in building the credibility and integrity of graduates in a sustainable manner.
- To strengthen the organizational structure of the visual communication design study program in achieving optimal performance to anticipate global developments.
- To educate students to become scholars with academic values, ethics, and morals in line with scientific community life—skilled, aware of general and specific issues—so that they are able to define their roles in contributing to national development in Indonesia.

“Creator refers to the competency of an analyst, projected as a Visual Communication Designer, who can play roles in formulating design knowledge through the practice of Visual Communication Design creation, such as illustrator, animator, comic artist, journalist, cartoonist, font maker, photographer, copywriter, YouTuber, mural designer, web designer, game designer, animator, and content creator.”

Presenter and Entrepreneur refer to the competency of an analyst projected as an entrepreneur, visual merchandiser, event organizer (EO), advertiser, creativepreneur, and art director.
Entrepreneurship
This competency scope has job markets including advertising companies, mass media, publishing and printing companies, production houses, distro stores, and studios at local, national, and international levels.
