ISI DENPASAR-KEMENKUMHAM MOU SIGNATURE FOR PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Rector of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar Prof. Dr. I Wayan “Kun” Adnyana with the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Bali Jamaruli Manihuruk signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to the protection and use of intellectual property. “Furthermore, this MoU will be used as the basis for making a cooperation agreement in the establishment of an intellectual property center service unit,” said Head of the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office Jamaruli Manihuruk in Denpasar, Tuesday. The signing of the MoU has been held in between during the promotion and dissemination activities of patent intellectual property in the province of Bali, entitled “Patents and Their Commercial”. Currently, 13 intellectual property center service units have been formed with secretariats in regional apparatus organizations (OPD), state and private universities in all regencies/cities in Bali Province. “We are grateful that ISI Denpasar has participated in the establishment of intellectual property centers, to capture and protect intellectual property, especially in the area of ​​Bali Province, which is efficient and has high economic value,” he said. He hopes that the Bali province creators could register so that their works are protected and it will not be claimed by others. “We believe that students who are members of each campus have high abilities in producing works with intellectual property potential,” he said. Meanwhile, the Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan “Kun” Adnyana, thanked the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Bali and his staff for the signing of the MoU to establish an intellectual property center at the Indonesian Arts Institute Denpasar. ISI Denpasar is a higher education institution in the field of creative arts that has 14 study programs, both in performing arts, fine arts and design. “Of course this has a big opportunity to produce works that are inventive and innovative which have an economic potential,” he said. Kun Adnyana hopes that this collaboration will motivate students and lecturers to be more creative and it also can develop the creative economy in Bali Province.

SIGNIFIKANSI NILAI KARAKTER MENGHARGAI PRESTASI DALAM KEHIDUPAN KAMPUS

Abstrak

            Nilai karakter menghargai prestasi sangat penting dimiliki oleh setiap orang, terutama dalam kehidupan kampus. Nilai karakter “menghargai prestasi ini” sangat dibutuhkan pada saat ada kompetisi maupun dalam kegiatan lainnya, misalnya dalam rapat ataupun  kegiatan diskusi. Ada dua hal pokok yang diulas dalam tulisan ini, yaitu (a) apa yang dimaksud dengan nilai karakter menghargai prestasi dan (b) mengapa nilai karakter ini sangat penting dalam kehidupan kampus.

            Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang nilai karakter menghargai prestasi dan juga pentingnya nilai karakter ini dalam setiap gerak aktivitas kehidupan kampus. Tulisan ini bermanfaat tidak hanya bagi mahasiswa namun juga bagi seluruh sivitas akademiki kampus.

KODE PEREMPUAN PADA POSTER “Bali Like de Beaute”

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas secara deskriptif kode perempuan dalam poster sebagai media konstruksi citra budaya Bali. Kode adalah cara pengkombinasian tanda yang disepakati secara sosial untuk memungkinkan satu pesan disampaikan dari seseorang ke orang lainnya. Menurut Barthes, kode merupakan suatu agen atau perantara yang selalu hadir dalam literatur. Kode inilah yang menentukan dan yang berperan paling penting untuk membangkitkan makna melalui cara yang serupa dengan cara bahasa melakukan peran mediasinya. Perempuan dalam poster Bali like de beaute memiliki makna denotasi dan makna konotasi (kode hermeneutik, kode narasi, kode semantik, kode simbolik dan kode kebudayaan) telah didapatkan sebuah temuan bahwa pada poster Bali ini menghadirkan tanda visual yang memperlihatkan budaya Bali dengan kehidupan masyarakat yang harmonis tanpa adanya kekerasan, semuanya dihadirkan secara menarik dengan objek utamanya seorang perempuan Bali. Perempuan yang dihadirkan adalah perempuan yang bertelanjang dada sebagai sebuah daya tarik yang eksotis, natural, murni, jujur dan apa adanya.

Design Fashion Study Program Raising Aid for NTT Disaster Victim

Denpasar- The Student Association (HMJ) of Fashion Design Program under ISI Denpasar organizes activities to help flood victims in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Hundreds of ready-to-wear clothes were symbolically handed over by the Rector ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Kun Adnyana to Yosep Yulius Diaz as the General Chair of Flobamora Bali at the Rectorated Building of ISI Denpasar on Wednesday, 19th of May, 2021. At this moment, the Rector accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic, Students, and Alumni Affairs, Dr. A.A Rai Remawa, the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. I Ketut Muka, M.Si, the Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. I Komang Sudirga.

Humanitarian activity carried out by ISI Denpasar students is a pilot project for the free learning humanitarian program in accordance with the implementation of the slogan full of meaning for the 2021 National education system, “Simultaneously move to create Independent Learning ”.  “ISI Denpasar chose Humanitarian activities program as one from eight choice of Independent Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM)” said the Rector, Prof. Wayan Kun Adnyana.

According to him, this activity is great as an implementation of Independent-learning on Campus. “I am so proud with this outstanding activity, We hope this support can be received directly to those in need”, said the former Head of the Bali Provincial Culture Service.

The head of Fashion Design study program, Dr. Tjok Istri Ratna C.S., S.Sn.,M.Si, said that the fundraising event entitled “Jelujur Asa” is a movement that connects the fighting spirit of our people in Indonesia. “This activity was initiated by HMJ Fashion Design Study Program ISI Denpasar that is carried out in three different locations”, Tjok Istri Ratna said.

The activity began on 10th of May, 2021 by collection thousands of wearable clothes from the entire ISI Denpasar academic community, followed by the handing over of clothing donations to three places (1) to residents of the Panti Dharma Jati II Denpasar, (2) to workers at the Suwung final dumpsite (TPA), (3) to disaster victim in NTT. “We hope that through this humanitarian activity, ISI Denpasar can optimize the implementation of MBKM policy and participate in realizing the vision of the Ministry of Education and Research and Technology (Kemendikbud-Ristek)- to generate Students that understand Pancasila to be able to achieve Advanced Indonesia ”, she said.

Yosep Yulius Dias as the leader of Flobamora Bali expressed his gratitude for the concern for the residents of NTT who were victims of the flood. “In NTT there are 14 districts and 1 city affected by the disaster. Through this assistance, hopefully we can ease the burden on the affected residents, and we as representatives of the NTT community express our gratitude for the assistance in the form of these decent clothes,” explained Yulius Diaz accompanied by Marselinus Sil Paga as chair of the Flambora Crisis Center Bali, and Melkianus Boleng as Secretary of the Flobamora Crisis Center, Bali.
