Rector of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali
Prof. Dr. Wayan ‘Kun’ Adnyana, born in Bangli, Bali, on April 4, 1976, was conferred the title of Professor in the field of Art History in 2019. In addition to being a professional visual artist who has held prestigious solo exhibitions internationally—in Tainan, Taiwan (2018), Sydney, Australia (2019), and Slupsk, Poland (2023)—he also served as the Head of the Bali Provincial Office of Culture (2019–2021). He is currently serving as the Rector of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Bali for the 2021–2025 and 2025–2029 terms.
Prof. Dr. Anak Agung Gde Bagus Udayana, S.Sn., M.Si
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Information Systems
Prof. Dr. Anak Agung Gde Bagus Udayana, S.Sn., M.Si. is a Professor in the field of Visual Communication Design. He has received several honors, including the Satyalancana Karya Satya X Year award in 2011 and the XX Year award in 2022. His contributions to design include the creation of branding and logo designs for institutions such as PT. BPR Bank Daerah Gianyar (2020), Perumda Air Minum Tirta Sanjiwani (2020), PT. BPR Bank Daerah Bangli (2021), Tenganan Village (2022), and PT Hari Hari Mesari (2022). His academic publications include the books Branding Gianyar Kabupaten Kreatif (2019) and Kapita Selekta Citraleka Desain: Dialectics of Art, Design, and Culture in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (2020). He has also participated in art and design exhibitions, including the exhibition at Okinawa Prefectural University of Art (2019) and the National Exhibition Bali Dwipantara Adirupa III (2023).
Dr. I Made Jodog, M.FA.
Vice Rector for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs
He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at STSI Denpasar (1996), obtained a Master of Fine Arts from the School of Art and Art History, University of South Florida (2004), and earned a Doctorate in Artistic Creation from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar (2024). His areas of expertise include Sculpture, Media Exploration, and Installation Art. Jodog is actively engaged in research on creative processes, such as “The Art of Planting Rice as a Meditative Practice.” As an artist, he has held seven solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. His awards include Las Damas De Arte and the Second Place Outstanding Lecturer Award from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar. He currently serves as Vice Rector for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs at ISI Bali.
Prof. Dr. I Komang Sudirga, S.Sn., M.Hum.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Collaboration
Prof. Dr. I Komang Sudirga, S.Sn., M.Hum., born in Karangasem on October 16, 1967, is a Professor of Karawitan Art Studies at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Bali. He has served as a lecturer since 1994, completed his Master’s degree at Gadjah Mada University (1998–2001), and earned his Doctorate at Udayana University (2008–2012). He has held several academic and administrative positions, including Secretary of the Department, Vice Dean, Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts, and currently serves as Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Collaboration (2025–2029).
Prof. Sudirga is actively involved in teaching, research, and publication, with works featured in national and international journals. His scholarly contributions encompass studies on pasantian, karawitan, as well as music and health. As an artist, he has represented Indonesia in various cultural missions across Asia and Europe. He is also a literary creator, producing traditional Balinese poetry (geguritan).
Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, including the 10- and 20-Year Satya Lencana Karya Satya Medals and the Dharma Kusuma Award from the Provincial Government of Bali (2025). He continues to teach, create, and contribute to the advancement of Balinese arts and culture both nationally and globally.
