The Recktor’s Remark

Prof. Dr. I Wayan Adnyana, S.Sn., M.Sn.

Om Swastyastu,

Assalammualaikum Warahmatulahi Wabarrakatuh,

Salam Sejahtera,

Salom, Namo Budaya,
Rahayu.

Greetings from Indonesia Maju,
May we all be blessed with health and well-being.

Welcome to the official website of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali (ISI BALI).

This website is presented in a new form, marking a significant institutional transformation—namely, the change of name from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar to the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Bali, officially ratified through the Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2025. The Presidential Regulation was signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, on 12 February 2025, coinciding with the sacred day of Pagerwesi, and later celebrated through the Pangurip ISI BALI Ceremony on 28 February 2025, officiated by the Minister of Culture, Dr. Fadli Zon, and the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, and attended by the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Dr. Fauzan.

This transformation represents not merely a change in nomenclature, but also a leap in vision. The renewal of the ISI BALI GO Web embodies the actualization of ISI Bali’s new vision as a Higher Education Institution in the Arts, Design, Digital Innovation, and Culture—Distinguished, Character-driven, and Globally Reputable.

Since 2021, ISI Bali has been recognized as the most progressive state arts university in Indonesia in terms of key performance indicators, particularly regarding the quality of graduates, case-based curriculum innovation, and problem-solving relevance to contemporary needs.

The development of education, research, and community service systems has been accompanied by a fundamental restructuring of the curriculum. The Impactful ISI Bali Curriculum was officially launched through Rector’s Regulation No. 3 of 2025 for Bachelor’s Programs and Rector’s Regulation No. 4 of 2025 for Applied Bachelor’s Programs. This curriculum is designed to respond to the challenges of ongoing social, cultural, and economic transformation. Every ISI Bali student is guided to become an artist, designer, creative worker, entrepreneur, researcher-critic, or educator who embodies the spirit of Pancasila, demonstrates creativity, innovation, critical reasoning, and upholds humanity, environmental sustainability, and the noble wisdom of Indonesia.

The strategic actualization model is realized through a policy of enhancing the quality and substance of publications—focusing on mainstreaming performance achievements oriented toward strengthening and advancing education, research, and community engagement, both independently and through collaboration and partnership. It also materializes through the institutionalization of dissemination platforms for the Tri Dharma of Higher Education on national and international scales that are consistent, progressive, high-quality, reputable, and sustainable. The Bali Padma Bhuwana International Festival is dedicated as an international dissemination forum, while Bali Sangga Dwipantara serves as a national-level platform.

Another key form of strategic actualization is the professional management and quality assurance of the ISI Bali website, aligning it with the standards of excellent higher education web governance. As part of efforts to strengthen institutional identity and expand global communication, the ISI Bali website is presented in three languages—Indonesian, English, and Balinese—reflecting ISI Bali’s commitment to harmoniously bridge local, national, and global wisdom.

It is hoped that through the refinement of content, layout, design, and trilingual presentation, the ISI Bali website will not only function as a digital service platform but also as a representation of ISI Bali’s institutional character and identity.

Congratulations on the launch of the Trilingual Website ISI BALI GO.

Denpasar, 28 October 2025
